    But there are other consequences of effective controls... like divies, Board overhaul, drilling over returns to sh, etc...which ato would not be in interested in.

    Maybe so...but h00ts talked about getting copper on the cheap.

    On the other points, if they get effective control, they would need to create a mechanism, such as issuing in (just as an example) $10M shares to themselves, call them the new "A-Class" shares and assigning 10x normal divvy to them.

    Such an act would not go un-noticed by the news papers and would raise huge ire against Chinese investors.

    Another alternative, raised many times, is they use what would have been divvies to purchase other assets. This would imply they are prepared to take on risk with their divvies, in which case you have to assume they won't be drilling moose pasture, but actually trying to get something real, in which case, so do existing sh.

    I'd be interested if you could expand out in a more comprehensive way what you mean.
