    nine lives

i shall grab a cup of tea and sit inthralled at the youtube presentation.

I love the Hindu writings. I'm having lunch tomorrow with a chap who was in charge of the department of immigration many years ago. He's a Hindu and supremely knowledgable. I'm forever borrowing his books and find within these works the most amazing understanding of the universe. Concepts many centuries ahead of the western world. They even have a time line for the retraction of all matter in the universe and the renewal of the universe over time frames that would have seemed like gibberish to non Hindu.

I don't know too much about this Baha'i Faith at this stage but it is interesting to note that Baha'u'llah, the founder, claims to be the Kalki Avatar. The return of Krishna, who stated - 'I am born from age to age.' The date prophesied in the Bhagavad Gita for His return was 1844 which is when the Baha'i Faith was established. So what an amazing connection between these two religions you have pointed out.

Now where this gets interesting is that there are many claims that Christ would return in 1844. Starting with William Miller who formed the Seventh Day Adventists and greatly influenced the future Jehovah Witnesses. Protestant Tempers built homes and formed a community in Haifa Israel because they thought Christ would descend on Mt Carmel in 1844. There were even companies established in the US that made ascension robes, would you believe, because apparently millions of people got caught up in this.

As for Mt Carmel today, I went there as part of a world tour and had a look at the Baha'i grounds and centre there. I was amazed by all the Australian gum trees in Haifa. Their gardens and buildings are mind boggling to say the least. As profoundly beautiful as any of the great churches I entered. The Israelis claim it as the eighth wonder of the world.

Thank you once again - I will research some of those names you have mentioned.
