The Chinese have been strategically acquiring something we all take for granted, but we all need for survival. Agriculture is the sleeping giant for our economy and its a great time to get in right now.

If you can acquire good land, the right soil types and profiles, with bankable water allocation, anywhere near major centres, you will make a fortune long term. There are a lot of deals being done around the place and its becoming very tightly held.

It can be a tough investment if you look at the volatility of yields and the inputs required but we are running out of good land.

You can always build more houses, but you can't make more productive land.
