Could be bunkering fuel, the generators on drill rigs use heaps,

have they stated they will be production testing? or just plug and abandon, you can tell a lot about the reservoir from a wire line.

they may be happy to know there is oil down there and that reservoir is good quality, then come back and test on appraisal

that's if they do find anything.


the dead give away is the vessel tracks when they are pulling the anchors. but you should know if there is oil before that as they would of sent the wire line down.
