Hi gdbeech, I have only ever held TAP while Troy Hayden has headed the company. In terms of the decisions he has made to date, I don't have any issues.

I would however be interested to know the specific issues you, bacci, or any others may have had in relation to Troy's decisions for the company to date.

bacci in two of his posts refers to "ll fated high risk ventures in Africa and Borneo" and how management "piss proceeds down other holes in Africa or Borneo."

No further detail is provided in relation to the issues with the investment decisions made by Troy in relation to Borneo and Africa so I can only guess at what they may be.

My guess is that the African venture referred to is Starfish-1. It was made clear at the start that this was a wildcat, high risk play. Knowing the most likely outcome was probably a duster, I was okay with them giving it a shot, given the potential upside, and also given the fact that TAP had reduced its exposure to the well beforehand to a level more appropriate for a company of it's size.

When starfish-1 failed I hoped they'd let it go - which they have now done. So on the African front, I have no issues with Troy (so far).

With regard to "Borneo", the only major investment decisions I could find in relation to Borneo were made BEFORE Troy's time. Yes he has had to deal with the dispute, but it was not one of his making.
