For sure Schlumberger is highly respected for its technology know how in the oil service space. In this project, they provide cementing and logging/perforation services as reported by CTR. Schlumberger's arm Carbonate Advisors also interpretes the logging for LAR. I believe with the couple failures in making C18/19 flowing in Atzam-4, LAR consulted Schlumberger on avoiding the issues in Atzam-5. With the complicated nature of carbonate reservoirs (fractures), LAR goes to the right services company.

As said in the announcement, they expect to reach C13 at 1700 ft, less than 500 ft from current depth. Oil shows from C12 or C13 will de-risk this well significantly. I expect to see C12 oil shows too, well before C13.
