Comex copper has hit a fresh life-of-contract high of
$2.12, taking out the Jan. 4 peak of $2.11. The move appears to be the result of fund and speculative buying in the absence of any major fresh news, says one
trader. Buy stops were hit on the Comex. "They ran to a new contract high, so you are always going to see stops," says the trader. March is up 260 points to
