Alan, I dont get your point here.This business survives and is flourishing because of a state govt handout.
I agree with you that govt can not save every failing business.Thats not the issue.In general govt should stay out of business.The issue is some businesses for one reason or another deserve assistance at some times.This case is a good example where a small public investment (relatively speaking) pushes the business plan over the line for the company.To me its a no brainer the benefits greatly outweigh the costs.Abbott took a silly risk.What has transpired must surely show what a bad decision Abbott made.
Eagle, I saw those reports BY Sharman Stone relating to an alleged suicide because of the Govt decision.If this is true it is was unintended consequence.Thankfully Napthine came good some money to keep the town humming and hopefully put an end to the local farmers self harming
