I don't have any adverse opinion on day traders. I recognise them as a separate species entitled to trade as they do. Most are probably decent folk enjoying the punt. I suspect that some make a good profit but the facts are that most do not (just like punting on the horses). What I do find annoying (but that is my problem and I know that) is the short term effect day traders have on the share price without any cognisance of the underlying value of the company. However, I also recognise that in the long term a solid revenue producing company will not only pay dividends but will also achieve a significant share price.
