I read it too quickly a couple of days ago, pays to have the docs open when I do posts (stupid work laptop with its small screen). Here's hoping that Chevron sign up for Stage 2, that would surely calm feathers.

I have to agree gassed. The amount that BPT has spent on PEL 218 & ATP 855 would be in the hundreds of millions (more than the Chevron farm-in back costs). Sorry to say Gassed, that they have not learned their lesson yet, or are only learning it right now, as last year, DLS had to lend BPT some equipment after one of the wells almost had a blow out, in ATP 855.

However, I am not saying the play won't be commercial, just that the delay is not the first, with Holdfast-2 a bit of joke really, considering its probably cost over $20 million.

I know BPT has Tanzania coming up, but other than that, Romania has so far done nothing, Egypt is still a waste of capital, considering the initial cost was $150 million. If that had gone into conventional drilling in the Cooper, well.... the returns clearly would have been better.

Hmm... My posts are probably coming across as too negative, I hold BPT, so do members of my family, its a great company, I am just not impressed with the current issues.
