Mount Gibson seems to have done well out of small mines in iron ore and there are others. steel manufacturing has not once stopped growing. big projects meet most of it but there is always stuff for the smaller producers. it might be great to have bhp's cost structures but none of the juniors have and there certainly isn't a spare bhp around to buy. who cares. if you can make $40 a ton on 2 million tonnes per annum, your shareholders are going to do just grouse.
