Any aggressive or defensive nation that has to tighten it's security because someone has lost a plane - is, well, not exactly what I would call well prepared.

All this gives me no confidence in military.

What does make me feel good is that many of our Asian neighbours are hopeless compared to the Malaysians - so they can have all the technology in the world, but if they can't drive it or fly it or bother to look at it --- it means nothing.
