It would probably have to be the dumbest collection of plane robbers in existence to embark on such a robbery with the logistics problems of handling 200+ angry passengers, the potential for radar to closely track and even shoot down the plane, and the unloading/handling of passengers after landing the plane...
I doubt that something of extreme value to justify such a robbery would have been shipped on a commercial passenger plane in any case, but rather on some special high security flight with armed guards at the delivery and loading and on board the flight...
If it was just going to be a random search through passenger luggage, these guys must have been the dumbest of the dumb and probably not smart enough to manage a flush toilet consistently...
