Just like the ASX after the GFC, any sign of a recovery in house prices was going to flush out every investor in the land to try and catch the next leg up. Lot of people got rich on stocks doing it, and fair to say some property investors in the last 12 months are sitting on a paper gain.
Unfortunately, the fundamentals are not there to sustain or support the rise and it will end in tears. No jobs, no growth in wages, interest rates at emergency levels, mining boom shutting down ... you would be mad to get in now ... but the rewards await the smart money on the sidelines.
