    That may be so Kingpins though I doubt it would change many peoples position that much. My main point is it is the individuals choice where they leave their money. Leaving your money in a savings account/term deposit/bond it about as safe an investment as you can get in terms of capital risk - if you choose a higher risk then you are likely to get a higher return.

    The whole point of lower interest rates is to stimulate the economy and move money into areas where it can work more i.e. get them to move away from the keep is safe investment of hording cash by making it less attractive to keep it as cash.
