re: Ann: Response to ASX Query Lifting of Tra... I called the company. ASX forced NEN into the TH on the basis of price movement, believing that had been a leak of confidentiality in some discussions being undertaken.

NEN had argued that there was no breach of confidentiality or leak but ASX said they would put them into suspension if they did not go into a trading halt.

Person I was speaking to said that they had to have a reason to go into a halt and that the choice of wording was not good in hindsight.

He also said that they would not be in a position for at least a couple of weeks to update the market on discussions in which they are involved.
