In my limited experience , I have observed that the wealthy ( old money ) buy when things are quiet or have been flat for a long time .
A bit countercycle if you like .
So , considering that re has gone sideways ( ish ) , since 2008 , it make sense that they are now buying .
Even though the builders I talk to are generally quiet , they are constantly surprised at new customers who are appearing that aren't using finance . It seems that they have been biding their time , waiting .
I agree that the wealthy sell into strength . That's why I think that they're buying now .
