I have just had a chance to view the recording of Titans v Raiders. The Titans did everything I had hoped they would.

All of them played their guts out, especially how they defended in the first half when they were starved for ball. Staying in touch with the Raiders up to half time was important. They appeared to get a second wind in the second half that got them in front with 25 minutes to go. Again in this period they had to dig deep.

Even Dave Taylor was pulling his weight (and hasn't he got some). Apparently he was under instruction not to try anything fancy. It worked as he bent the defensive line a number of times in the second half. In one set he took it up twice. More of that and the fans will let up on the criticism.

Greg Bird and Nate Myles played it like it was origin. That provided the base for the win IMO.

Albert Kelly was dangerous throughout and sealed the win with two runaway tries at the end.

Last week I asked them to have a dig and that is exactly what they did.

Despite everyone tipping them to fill a bottom place, they are two from three. That is the best start to a year for three or more years.

A long way to go but they showed they had character. Well done boys, I'll be at Robina to see you take on the Cowboys next Monday.
