The honourable thing to do now is resign, admit being a failure at running a company. Go work for a company that is well managed to know what one feels and looks like.
The point is, this is a small company and you need to do more yourself. This is not a mega corp where you can pontificate and day dream for a few days. Every day and everything counts. Step up the pace, get a grip and start performing or get lost.
Those responsible should be right-royally disgusted with their performance. Sitting around blaming the resource, the weather and the POG doesn't cut it. Look in the mirror.
