    A SYDNEY real estate agency will take property deposits in virtual currency bitcoin to woo Chinese investors comfortable with transacting in it.

    In a week where the Reserve Bank has warned about unrealistic speculation in the local housing market, a Sydney real estate agency in the city’s prestigious North Shore says it will accept bitcoin, through a partnership with bitcoin payments provider CoinJar.

    Forsyth Real Estate, a 115 year-old agency, told The Australian it would accept virtual currency payments for advertising and deposits on properties.
