Take a few days in Port Macqarie. My favourite town after being a constant east coast NSW traveller for the last 10 years.(working not bludging!) Great waves, lots of employment which is a critical factor even if your retiring. High unemployment=high crime rate. Also has a hospital (private but what you pay for is what you get). Great food cheap realestate and relaxed friendly people by and large. Can get stinking hot in Summer if that bothers you. Interesting thread.
