You clearly understand mining better than me. However, when you classify Hobbs 1 as a 'duffer' you are being loose enough with your language to misguide someone such as myself, who is on a learning curve.

The correct context for 'duffer' regards Hobbs 1 is it is a non-starter as a standalone.

Determining the value of SOC revolves around examining the business plan of management as it actually is. Mining Hobbs pipe 1 as a standalone has not been suggested by SOC management as far as I am aware.


I could not agree with you more about the role of facts. In the absence of guaranteed, reliable truthfulness [minus intended/unintended emotional overtones] facts are the next best thing.

The upcoming drill results will, hopefully, throw more light on the actual prospects for Mt Adrah. Personally, I am not expecting anything dramatic at this stage [unless Arcadia surprises]. I suspect I am in the minority view here, but I heartily approve of the current drill plan ....because it is methodical. It is following what appears to be SOC's business plan. From this drilling we might get a better idea about the merits of an open cut operation. I am not so sure that drilling Castor at this stage would provide that kind of data.

If it is multiple pipes of some reasonable grade that provides a baseline to work with. I would agree with you that Castor and the other reefs would [on their own] more than likely represent only boutique deposits .... unless they were very, very good.
