JM, you asked the following question the other day:

"one question I did have - why is it that we have a core group of you AOK holders that seemingly can't help yourselves from posting on our RFE thread despite stating no positions (and usually sell ratings - but at the same time telling us you hope we all do well) and yet none of the core holders here regularly post on aok - is it out of the goodness of your hearts or are we RFE holders just not as compassionate?"

I will propose the following answer to your question, based on the following reasonable premise:

No company does everything 100% right or 100% wrong.

If that premise is true, then correlate what AOK and RFE have done over the journey to what the posters who post on both forums say - and my observation of the posters who post on both forums (I read both but except on rare occasions mainly post here) is that:

1. They never have a good thing to say about RFE, which they dont hold

2. They never have a bad thing to say about AOK, which they do hold

Now lets assume for the sake of argument that AOK is a better company than RFE, if posters posting on both forums were balanced in their views then you would expect them to post more positive posts on AOK than on RFE, and less negative posts on AOK than on RFE. In other words, if they were balanced in their views then you would expect 100% positive posts / 0% negative posts on AOK and vice versa on RFE.

My conclusion is that there are two possibilities, either:

1. AOK is the perfect company that does everything right and RFE is a crap company that does everything wrong

Or

2. while those posters come here and tell us how dumb we are for investing in RFE and how biased we are because we only see the positive side of RFE (even though of late most of us have been pretty critical of management), the bias in their posting between the two forums seems obvious to anyone who looks at their posting record.

While maybe (for the sake of argument) AOK is a better company than RFE, it is mot perfect and does not do everything right (and vice versa for RFE), so to me the 2nd possibility seems far more probable.
