Except for the other classes of men. There are pretty a lot of pretty dumb men without religion and some pretty intelligent men with religion. Maybe the world was bit more black and white 1000 years ago? Or maybe the author was just a typical hater, it's not like that's a modern thing you know?
Either way I'm still not sure why that quote is any more important that quoting lyrics from Shakira or Marilyn Manson? Poets and musos are there to entertains us, not to guide us. (arguably)
