fizz I don't quite understand maybe my CFD with Comsec marketmaker are different I haven't tried others. I have had CFD on HVN CSL for months with some selling and buying. My view is long term negative although I have gone long on FMG previously . I treat them like they are actually my cash ie the ACTUAL VALUE of the contract and use CFD's to go short. If going long I usually actually buy the shares. I only trade ASX CFD's since that is all I can do so for eg cant short FLT. I understand if the shares went up hugely on your short you could use. Otherwise to me it seems like buying and selling shares at $10 cost for $10 000 I use them for long term. Am I not understanding something? I may not trade for a week. I sleep ok? Flemster
