Hi folks,

I am annoyed at the silence, call it what ever you like, "delayed" or "tight well" or "on time"! The fact is that it does not take that long to analyse the well technically now that we have the samples and data.
Therefore any delay must be for a commercial advantage. Good or bad result will depend on which side you are on ie wanting to farm in or a farm down.

PCL SP is not an indication of the Sunbird result, if it is, then why bother drilling. After all the SP told us the day the well was spudded that the well was a foregone conclusion, a failure.

We seem to be of the opinion that "the market knows best";
but who is the market? We are. So do we know anything about the well apart from what was released two weeks ago? the answer is NO? unless we are just referring to the few "insiders eg BG's geos and managers etc" as "the market". That would depend on if how much they value their jobs I guess.

FWIW JIMHO, the PCL SP is nothing to do with the result, but has everything to do with the finances and future funding; and the delay in the announcement, got something to do with the Premier Oil saga. There is only one thing I think we can say for sure, even if it is commercial, it's not a super gusher.

So really, whether this well is commercial or not is irrelevant, as it was always planned to be P and A anyhow. However, it is a successful well, because we found hydrocarbons and we can confirm the structure in the area for future drilling which has always been the plan; now this is ironical for the PCL SP, because of this success, it means more money required for drilling the next one. So looking at it that way, the SP actually reflects the success of the well, or have I gone completely mad!
