"SLR will produce between 205 & 220k toz pa with all in sustaining costs of A$1016."

    Are you sure about this?

My understanding is that the A1016 is supposed to be the all in sustaining cash costs (AISCC) at Mt Monger, where production may be around 160k ounces this year and next year.

The remaining gold output relates to the Murch (a far higher cost producer) which is closing sometime in June 2014. I doubt there will be much net positive cashflow in 2014 from mining operations, as the AISCC will be well beyond A1016 across both mining operations.

SLR seems to be a bit loose when using AISC and AISCC almost interchangeably - they are not the same things. You can hide a lot of costs by using AISCC rather than AISC.

I thought that beyond the next 18-24 months production that SLR would need to do a fair bit of capital development at Mt Monger and exploration (eg upgrade resources into reserves).

Anyway, just saying their A1016 figure is a bit sus if you are thinking AISC, and at this stage forward production beyond June 2014 is only around 160k ounces.

loki (SLR is worth a trade, but when is the question for me?)
