Hi Matt747.
Don Lewis was talking about SDL and 50 Mtpa back in 2009/2010.
That has been one of the main problems with Management. Not pushing the Company and its likely resource/amount that is likely to be mined in the future and exported per year.
Not pushing how much is in the ground and letting the world know.
I have been saying for Three or more years, I think there is likely to be around 30 Billion tonnes of iron ore.
Hanlong came up with saying 10+ Billion tonnes, when SDL were still saying around 4 Billion tonnes.
I asked SDL to do what others do and put out a figure they really thought was in the ground.
A bit later they came out with, just over 4 Billion tonnes after drilling that had been done, Plus 9.2 to 13.2 Billion tonnes more on top of the 4 Billion tonnes.
SDL are still talking of 35Mtpa, all indicators point to a start up Mine and Rail capacity of 50Mtpa.
Regards
Westcott.
