    iron mike,

"Many allege - Palmer bought himself votes."

"JUst because their leader is so filthy rich - he thinks e can do - say - block - whatever he likes."

    Crikey!! Shades of Rupert Murdoch.

Anyhow mike, I wasn't too surprised by the result. I know 300 employees who were shocked when one of Tony's mates on the Business Advisory Council (Chaney) just recently stated that penalty rates would have to be looked at. An awful lot of them felt betrayed by that as they voted for Tony at the federal election.

These guys work full time, most have families and struggle to pay for the basics like rent and food never mind power, transport, school fees etc. They desperately need the penalties just to survive.

There's a huge and burgeoning under class in Australia who have a great work ethic and don't know who to turn to as far as governments go. They just can't seem to make ends meet.

They couldn't vote for Tony because he's shown that he isn't trustworthy, the ALP don't deserve their vote so that doesn't leave a lot to choose from. Scot Ludlum came over as honest and straightforward.

What were they supposed to do, I ask you?
