For the current level of income i think it is a it limits. You see rents have stagnated in Melb i believe, contracting in Perth. Haven't looked at Sydney & Brissy.
Some people will always talk about lifestyle rentals. But it is the majority who keep the rental market afloat that is the majority of the 27-29% Australian pop who always rents.
Don't take the comments of a few well paid people as a guide to forecast rents for the majority.
Sure if income continues to rise rents too will rise..
