You don't have to go back to 2003 to find the XJO acting clearly more strongly than SP500. You only have to go back to 2011, 2012. It's not actually an uncommon experience.
And exactly what's the divergence now? Just the last few days? SP500 until the last couple of days was setting new all time records. What's Australia been doing? It hasn't even been able to get above the March highs.
Making a judgement on a couple of days divergence really doesn't amount to much.
