i live here in Alice Springs where it has rained almost continuously for 4 or 5 days and continues to do so. The dirt road out to Kintore *Walungurru" is absolutely flooded, there are 2 significant creeks that become rivers and both are up. It is not just a matter of whether trucks can get through but the damage a heavy vehicle does to a flooded dirt road which is used by community members. A considerable drying out period will be needed, and perhaps some road works before trucks will be moving again.
