    all the talk about wanting the market to ascribe a proper valuation to the stock.

    Let me give the board and Mr Prentice an idea, try resigning. Feel free to cite whatever excuse will help you feel better about it (personal reasons is usually a nice ambiguous one so should suit you well) and then watch the thing head north with someone decent at the helm.
