One of Adkins main points, the one he comes to towards the end of his blog is, I quote: "But the question remains - why bother importing graphite all the way from Mozambique?"
Obviously Adkins may be a self professed expert in the field of cathodes and anodes however he knows nothing about the graphite sector in China or, indeed, SYR's considerable potential cost advantage in the supply of graphite from Balama.
If he had bothered to research this point he would have realised that China's majority amorphous and low grade flake deposits are simply not able to supply the required grade, quality and volume required by Chinalco.
He also sounds a bit miffed that Chinalco may have found a way to resolve certain issues (if indeed they are issues) to do with introducing graphite into the aluminium sector.
