Not a good day today, 5 of 7 longs down for the day.
FMG, oops China’s export data causes FMG to plunge today after initially opening green. My trade was stopped out at 550 for a solid profit, but less than half of my target profit.
MGX, was hit hard today and I am in the red with this one. I will probably steer clear of lower market cap stocks during uncertain times in the future.
OZL, stopped out of OZL at 370 for a small profit this morning. Perhaps I should have used a tighter stop a few days ago, but it is all a learning process.
BHP and RIO, despite being down today this pair of long trades are still very green. Will have to use reasonably tight stops from here on to protect profit.
SFR, was my only stock that had a good day today. I set a tight stop on SFR this morning, but it wasn’t needed.
TLS, flat today, but still in the green.
Enjoy the school holidays at Tulki Beach Flem, a long drive but no doubt worth it. We are heading to FNQ for 2 weeks, driving to Perth on Friday night then flying to first stop at Townsville on Saturday. There for a couple days, then up to Cairns, followed by Port Douglas. Unfortunately a cyclone is active in FNQ at the moment, but the forecast at present is for rain in Townsville on Sunday, followed by clearing weather, and the long range forecast is for fine weather for the remainder of the 2 weeks.
