MRI being reversed will be a massive step backward. It is part of medicine of the 21 st century. It is more sensitive than ct and avoids radiation especially for adolescents...which is new indication for gp's.
There are new scans like spect and pet on the horizon for the brain especially pet, but will be a while before pet is available as mainstream. Anyone who has had an mri will tell you why it is a better diagnostic tool.
