Berala is an old ethnic suburb - can I say that? Lots of newer migrants but also old post war migrant families. Urban renewal happening all over Sydney, which surely is a good thing. I think people forget that Sydney is also a city of families who want to stick together and help each other - not everyone therefore Wants to live in the trendy suburbs - even though they have had good opportunities and now have good incomes. They just want to build a nice house close to mum and dad (who will gladly help with childcare). Berala is close to the new Auburn Hospital and has good public transport. Either that or the developers will subdivide for units. Depends on council regs.
