thanks for your post. 12 minutes to reply (no electricity & battery is about to end)

firstly, it would be great to get some idea of the difference between the Dark Night (an apparent spiritual phenomona) versus someone experiencing depression (a transitory mental condition).

I would hazard a guess that depression is a reaction to a loss of something desired (separation from the loved) where as the Dark Night is when the spiritual path is entered via voluntarily abandoning worldly pursuits

So the 3 fold path separates a state of bliss from the highest state of purity.

from perspective of buddha, he liked to teach those who do good karma end up in heaven so heaven is something more mundane (rather than completely transcendent

What is the distinction between Self versus Mind as you seem to define both as different ... where the Self must be annilated in order to enter into Pure Mind ?

'self' is a thought thus something the mind creates rather than the true nature of mind

Is this idea based on bliss being an openning of the 6th or 7th chakra (still in a state of Separation) versus the idea of the total annilation of the chakra system into Pure Consciousness where one become One (non-separation) ?

    later

lower chakras liberated lead to bliss and higher chakra liberated lead to purity...yes I would say

    rgards
