The reason for speaking out against religion that controls and lacks warm is because in my opinion it indoctrinates. In my experience the indoctrinators only have self interest in mind, to control for power and money.
As for the 6 day creation story, the biblical flood and the literal interpretation of Exodus, the objection that I have is when this stuff is taught as absolute unchallengeable fact. The lack of looking at the information with enquiring minds taking evidence into account, but just accepting it on faith is something that I feel needs to be challenged.
