The list of beneficial applications that this surface technology brings to the table stretches on for miles. I've posted in the past what I believe the most likely opportunities could be; including several other lateral flow components, a product similar to the GoldLinkTM kit and in particular new coating methods for gene therapy multiplexed gold nano-particles.

I think that Anteo's involvement will be limited to the next generation platform that you mentioned. My belief is that HoT involves a study to explore a change to the fundamental manufacturing processes by which all of BBI's gold nano-particles are coated. If this new process proves itself to be demonstrably head and shoulders above the competition, I believe we will be included in many POC tests in the future.

But rest assured, on top of holding the key that can possibly change BBI's fundamental coating manufacturing process, we can also further enhance BBI's work with potential applications surrounding streptavidin, magnetic particles, enzyme attachment (glucose strips), flow cytometry, immunoassays and potentially even revolutionize the way they coat beads for gene therapy research.

Both Anteo and BBI would see these benefits clear as day, and both companies can likely make huge profits from one another if this project and future projects are successful.

I am also somewhat comforted by Anteo's staffing choice, which involves at least 5 senior staff whom previously worked for Alere.
