"The lack of looking at the information with inquiring minds taking evidence into account, but just accepting it on faith is something that I feel needs to be challenged"

So what is the right way of looking at things?

Why do you make the assumption they just accept these things by faith, and what is the alternative correct view not using faith?

    Bowral,

I think that you are having me on now. But I'll take the bait.

What I mean is do your own research, weigh up the information and evidence that you find before coming to a conclusion rather that just taking on face value what you are told.

I make assumptions that people look at things by faith alone because this is what people tell me. Examples:

I have been told by some that they don't discuss topics because it interferes with their faith. They would prefer not to think too much about the topics.

Another told me that the reason that God does not make his presence obvious is that would do away with the need for faith.
