"...According to Prentice, Forrest Gimp has the potential to provide somewhere in the order of six to 12 months of additional feed to the mill.However, more importantly, it highlights the exploration potential of the 12 km of strike length between Forrest Gimp and Fortnum, which is a prime target for ongoing exploration activities. Mineralisation at Forrest Gimp has now been intersected over a strike length of some 160m and remains open at depth, with drilling only testing it to 60m vertical.

"However, Gleneagle's immediate focus is bringing the Starlight group of deposits into production.Of the existing pits on site previously mined by Perilya, Starlight was the biggest ore source and was mined via decline into the Starlight and Twilight lodes.

"We have the extension of Starlight, more ore at Twilight, as well as the Trev South and Midnight lodes," Prentice said.The decline established by Perilya has been driven 100m past the base of the Starlight pit.Part of the current scoping study will include the cost of dewatering and refurbishing that decline.The study will also look at the merits of drilling from underground and there is also potential for remnant ore blocks to be mined by Gleneagle along the way.

No deep drilling has been undertaken by Gleneagle on site, but Perilya did drill a few deeper holes at Starlight to a maximum depth of 500m.Prentice is confident the Starlight underground will stack up and form the basis of a number of underground developments in the field."
