The Storm trailed by two points when the siren sounded and with all five tackles used, they took the ball down the right side, then put up a kick which was batted back into play.
With the ball still in hand the Storm went down the right side but got no joy with Sisa Waqa throwing a long pass back to the middle finding Tohu Harris in space in a chaotic scramble.
His pass found Ryan Hoffman and a stack of Storm players in an overlap on the left flank so Hoffman drove the ball towards the try line and found Young Tonumaipea to give his side the winning try.
