    the pension benefit is way over the top.

    from memory, the single pension is about $20,000 per annum. people on pensions these days, have had a real good run in their lifetimes - with lots of work, and cheap housing.

    a single person , on a pension, owning their own house, would not even know how to spend the money - and watso has no idea what the "couple" pension is - but it must be luxury living.

    bad luck for those who squandered their chances through life - but frankly, the pension should be about the same as the dole.

    one way or the other, everything has to be paid for - and paying bleating pensioners a damn good pension is not the way to go.

    watso was chatting to a pensioner the other day - and he was saying something about "hockey having his way" - but he went on to mention that he is supporting a daughter, who has two kids, but cannot manage her money... so if hockey has his way, then this pensioner will be less able to give money to his daughter - he already has a nice part time job, as the lollypop man at the school crossing
