I read somewhere the other day that the time taken to build a mine from discovery to mining has blown out from 10 to 20 years, can you imagine that being maintained over our short political cycle. Its a long time to have millions invested without a return and you can understand potential investors moving to other countries when Australia is such an expensive place to do business and the government shifts the tax goalposts.
