"But I have bigger issues with Abbott, I never thought of him as a credible alternative PM and I don't trust him"

Fair enough, you've said as much many times.

    Your choice.

Just dont expect us that voted LNP to agree with every policy that the LNP run with.

No party can give everything to everyone.

Abbott campaigned on stopping the boats. So far he has made that happen.

Abbott also said he would scrap the MMRT & Carbon Tax. Not replace them, get rid of them. If the Senate prevents that from happening then he'll have to compromise or force a DD. Let's see what happens after 1 July.

Abbott said he would pay back the debt. His government will be handing down a budget next month. I expect it to be brutal. Will he achieve a surplus first budget? I doubt it. But if nett government debt is higher in year 3 than it is when he won power then he will have failed this test. The alternative if that happens is to vote Labor in again, and rack up even more debt that we have now. I will never do that. Labor cannot handle money, they spend more than they earn and cannot so no to any special interest group that puts their hand out for more.
