However, we certainly can draw rational conclusions based on the current body of knowledge. It is known that fully functional neuraminidases are need for the flu, any flu to escape the host cell. You block this enzyme and the flu virus cannot escape. We have hundreds of experiments that demonstrates this. Therefore by inference, it will work.

Some people have a twisted way of analysis. This is something that cannot really be scinetifically proven by scientific experiment pretty much like proving economic theory. Why? Are you going to give the patient a placebo when the mortality rate is > 50% within a couple of days?
