As I see it raising the GST is probably the most equitable way to raise money to address the country's debt problems.
I would also suggest keeping current exemptions in place.
Those that have the highest disposable income will pay the most IMHO.
Yes......sure it's a tax increase but you only pay when you spend.
I would like to hear others opinions on this.
