Why is it I get the distinct impression that those on here advocating increasing taxation on superannuation either don't have any or have very little?
It's like the tale of The Little Red Hen.
Far from being a burden, as some here puzzlingly claim, self funded retirees are the exact opposite! Indeed, even though they may pay no income tax they still pay GST and ahost of other taxes so help susidise those who didn't plan to be self sufficient.
It would be a courageous government which ever tried to nobble super for retirees - they all vote and would not take kindly to having the rules changed yet again.
Instead of wanting to increase tax for those doing the right thing, I suggest those who complain should just peddle harder and stash more into super.
