I'll not be printing any names as it might put someone's job at risk.
In lasts statement MARCH 2014 QUARTERLY REPORT on page 3, there are the remaining "detailed permits" they are waiting for:
80368501
80368502
80368503
I don't know what they are but I was told that they are not an obstacle at all, just the financing.
I do not believe for a second that they worked hard for the last 7-something years just to fold when they have a green light to go, from Alberta Government.
Prices of coal will start slowly going up. I was reading in some article where users in South East USA had bills last winter over 1200+ a month, because of high demand for gas. As more natural gas plants will go on line this situation will not get worse. So the coal looks good.
I think USA shot themselves in a foot trying to eliminate coal at all costs (Obama is not smart, he is good at speeches but that is all). With high utility bills their manufacturing (whatever they have left) will not be competitive at all.
If they have another winter like the last one, they will be screaming to bring the coal back.
